we are having an issue with the BWA system, we have 1 BW system connected to 1 BWA and we have maxed the no. of blades that could be added to BWA due to the hardware restriction.
I wanted to check if we could connected 2 BWA instances to a single BW server/system. we are currently on SAP BI 7.3 SPK 05

I have 2 SAP servers
NW 7.1 & 7.4.
On 7.4 have component sap.com\tc~uddi. Please help, how I can import or upgrade sap.com\tc~uddi on NW 7.1 for extend functionality. Where I can download tc~uddi new component for NW 7.1
After I delete a request from an InfoCube (for which there is a BIA index), the BIA index is no longer available for reporting.
The BIA index just remains inactive and takes up lots of space on the BI Accelerator server.
The solution that I know about it is to rebuild the index.
So I regularly rebuild the BI Accelerator index every weekend.
But I wonder if there are any other solutions to delete the BIA inactive index.
The main reason why I rebuild the BI Accelerator every weekend is to delete the BIA inactive index that takes up lots of space.
But the work regarding BIA rebuild is really critical, so I just want to know any other solution, or at least the way to reduce the number of rebuilding.

When i am running delta info package for extractor 0HR_PT_1 getting following error message in BW and job status in source system is green.
Technical error when extracting time data in HR: IS 0001 locked
Message class : HRTIM00DW
Message number: 14
When i do repeat delta its getting success, did any one faced this issue ? if yes how did you resolve it?

How are you guys implementing DSO on BWA? I know DSO cannot go in as it is in BWA. It has to be modeled into a cube (either standard or cube part of hybrid-provider or a BWA only infoc-cube). Just curious to know how the industry uses it. Thanks.

In the rfc alert trace there is no relevant error at this time. This error is independent from the blades because i moved the affected index to another blade. The result was the same.
I only can see an error in the IndexServerAlert trace:

In the syslog on BI I can see this error:

I don´t know why I get here an ICM error, the BIA is so configured that it just uses the RFC connection to the backend system. There is also no error in the ICM traces in SMICM.
I only found a note(1092151) but this note doesn´t match to us because we already have SP15 in the backend system.

Hi all,
I am re-creating BIA thru RSDDV T-CODE. I have deleted and created again but when i try to fill it, the job finish succesfully in 20 seconds, and if I go to the log thru SM37 this is the log that I get. at the end it says "FILLING FAILED -> CHECK LOG" ?
Where can I see this "log" ? Do you have any idea what could be happen?

Can anyone direct me to a document or explain how the new master data daemon works in the BW7.3/BWA7.2 environment?
As far as I can understand, the daemon job runs every three minutes (changeable global parameter) and reads the new SID entries from RSDDTREXNEWSID and updates the BWA SID indexes.
What happens to the job when the BWA system is not reachable/unavailable?
What happens to the job when all the BWA indexes are deleted?
Since this job handles all SIDs (both MD SIDs and associated NAV SIDs and the regular SIDs), how does it work in tandem with ACR?
How is the job scheduled for the first time? When BWA is installed or when the first indexing activity begin? Also does it need to run under a specific userid? Currently I see it is under my userid.
(I am still not used to the new forum interface and struggling to find a search box to search before posting these questions. Sorry)

Hi All,
Very frequently we are getting attached error.
That time we are manually recreating indexes for the cubes, after that it went fine.
Checked some note which was saying due to invalid date the error is coming but we dont have any date field in the cube.
We need to find the reason for that, Kindly some one suggest.

In our weekend scenario for a cube, we refresh the data in a cube. What we do is, we delete BIA indexes before the data refresh in the cube, load the data, recreate the indexes using "Initialize and Fill BIA" step.
Last run the filling process failed and in the log it showed this message:
Lock for table 'table name'. Job will be restarted again later
We have it for many tables and at the end of the log:
FILLING_FAILED >CHECK LOG!!!!!
Please any advice in this?

As far as I know, when I delete data(request) in an InfoCube, the data on the BI accelerator is not physically deleted, but left as kinda garbage Data(which takes up space on the BI accelerator server).
So I regularly rebuild the BI accelerator index every weekend for the data consistency of the InfoCube and BI Accelerator.
But the thing is that I handle the very huge and important data, so when I make a mistake on the process of rebuilding, it is very critical.
So I just wonder if there is some ways to delete data(Indexes) on the BI accelerator physically, when I delete the same data(request) in an InfoCube. (I want to reduce the number of rebuilding)
Or I would appreciate it if anyone lets me know good alternatives not to rebuild every weekend.

I am getting error "BIA server is overloaded" in RSDDBIAMON2 tcode.
Description is below:
Message no. RSD_TREX154
Diagnosis
The SAP NetWeaver BI Accelerator server is overloaded. Either there has recently been a forced unload of the BIA main memory, ort he total volume of loaded data exceeds the limit of 50% of the available main memory.
Both these situations negatively impact the stability of the BIA server.
You have two options:
Decrease the volume of data in the BIA: Delete BIA indexes that you do not currently need or that you do not urgently require.
Contact your BIA hardware partner and carry out a new sizing for the BIA hardware.
Procedure for System Administration
By default, this message only appears as a warning in processes that index large volumes of data in the BIA. You can use administration parameters to specify this warning as an error message as well. This causes all index processes to terminate if the error occurs.
To do this, execute program RSDDTREX_ADMIN_MAINTAIN with parameters Object= DONT_IGNORE_BIA_OVERLOAD, Value = X,and INSERT/UPDATE = X.
Diagnois says
1) The total volume of loaded data exceeds the limit of 50% of the available main memory,I have already checked the disk used for storing the indexes and it is not more than 50% of the BW Accelerator main memory.
2)There has recently been a forced unload of the BIA main memory: As per error details Number of times main memory has been unloaded in last 24 hours: '0' ie no unloaded had happened in last 24 hours.
Please help me how i can solve this erro as there is not unload happened and also disk usage under control.

Hello All,
I have a requirement to generate a list all infocubes that have an associated BWA (or BIA) index. In other words I need to list all infocubes that use BWA.
I have tried using rsddbiamon2 and then navigate to
BI Accelerator->Index Information->Display all BIA Indexes
It works but it gives a list of infocubes and all the tables underneath as well which is far too detailed for me. Secondly It does not allow the information displayed to be saved to a file.
So I am looking for a Table that contains information about infocubes using BIA (BWA) and would like to browse that table using se16.
Apprecaite any tips/tricks that you can share
